IBP Pampanga’s International Legal Missions

Certificate of AppreciationAs one of the officers of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Pampanga Chapter (IBP Pampanga), I took part in its historic first “International Legal Mission.”

This was held from October 4 to 5, 2014 at the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong.

Our mission was to give our modern day Filipino heroes and heroines free legal aid in the form of one-on-one consultation and lecture on relevant Philippine laws.

By modern day Filipino heroes and heroines, I am of course referring to the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

It is with great pride that I share with you our good news in that we have accomplished our mission in Hong Kong.

And this may be shown by the indelible fact that we were able to serve more than 200 OFWs, who were all smiles as they left the venue.

Of course, this will not be the first and last, but will surely be just the beginning of our series of international legal missions.

From October 18 to 19, 2014, we will hold our second international legal mission, this time, at the Philippine Consulate General in Macau.

And there will surely be more to come.

As I write this article, many have already shown interest in having us for similar purpose, such as the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo, Japan.

[Note: The IBP Bataan Chapter was also with us in Hong Kong. They will also join us, along with the other IBP Central Luzon Chapters, in Macau]
